With bewildering and indigenous ideas blended together, Khalis Food Market team, Lemon Peel & Advocates Marketing amazingly organized “DHA Food Festival” while joining hands with DHA Lahore, sponsored by “Prema Milk”.  This fun festival took place on 11th of April, Saturday, 5 pm to 11pm. The timings and day they had picked was a good move and it gathered a huge crowd.  DHA being one of the largest prosperous community, was the most appropriate location to celebrate Lahories love for food. The event had free entry, which gathered almost 8,000-10,000 people, who could really enjoy this marvelous event.

A Stage that was beautifully decorated was the center of all the amusement, upcoming talent was provided with a platform to show their acts. The event acclaimed  the pleasures of quality food in a festival, covered all the foods around the city. A  section of baking and home made food having Khalis Food stalls along with arts and crafts were a source of promotion for the cottage industry. A well defined area was allotted for children, with games, swings, rides and fun activities, children of all ages seemed to be enjoying their evening out. The most significant part of this festival was a stall that was set up for “Army Relief Fund for IDP’s” this proved beyond any doubt that our people never forget their deprived brothers and sisters.  The event targeted the families of Lahore and DHA specifically. It was one of the first premium family Food Fest that brought together culture and food under one roof.

Kitchen Cuisine, Café Barbera,  Citrus, Sweet Tooth, Lebanese Lounge and Café Martiniez and Red Pepper were some of the famous names that had taken up stalls at DHA Food Fest. It was a moment of pride for us as Pakistanis, when we saw a stall named “KPK Special Beef Kabab”. This showed that the festival had promoted a blend of cultures. The variety of food gathered the attention of every person present at the festival. From the opening till the closing there was a huge number of people coming in and going out.

Maro Tandoor was one of the most interesting stalls that attracted a huge number of people, they had a varying variety of Naans, beginning from Plain naan and ending up with Nutella Naan at very affordable prices. Nisa Sultan Express, a Turkish cuisine, that is known for its Doner Kabab, Turkish Pizza and Turkish Tea were also seen making good sales at the festival.

The festival had a great fun partition for the kids where they arranged games and rides, trampoline and bouncing castles for children. Kids were seen enjoying to the fullest, their laughs and excitement brought happiness to everyone.

Presence of showbiz personalities such as Noori and Mehmood Aslam from the famous Bulbulay made the event look even more interesting. This event brought together all sorts of cuisines and tastes, the planning and management was really appreciated, providing complete security to the attendees. The event had a startling firework presentation which made people awestruck with its beauty. DHA successfully managed  the space for parking of more than 500 cars and people had no issues regarding car parking. The security was well managed and no crime was reported, it was all due to tremendous security strategy of the management.

People need such breaks from their busy and hectic work routine and household chores. Children need to be refreshed and need a break from their studies hence this event gave everyone an opportunity to relax and have a fun family evening out. The live music on the stage was like a cherry on top of a cake. They managed to cater to every age group of people. Everyone enjoyed it and people were seen humming and singing along.

DHA Food Festival made everyone’s day out a fun and happy event while sharing happiness all around!
